This book is Proceeding and Collection of Research Papers presented in 3rd International Conference on 'Ayurved for Cancer', which was organized from 23rd to 25th February 2007 by 'Ayurved Hospital and Research Centre' at Mahabaleshwar, India. This book was unveiled by Dr. Shyam Kishore Shrivastava (MD (Radiotherapy), DNB (Radiotherapy); Professor and head in Radiation Oncology - Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai). The conference was attended by 210 scientists from modern medicine as well as from Ayurvedic disciplines residing in India as well as from Europe, USA, Japan and New Zealand. The theme of this conference was to highlight the role of Ayurved in overall management of cancer, especially to compliment the radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatments widely practiced currently for Cancer control. The panel discussion about “Research Directions in Ayurved” turned out to be a great debate amongst the stalwarts, working in the field of cancer. Important directions for future research on cancer were churned out after deep insights given by all the panelists.
