OBSERVATIONS :
  1. Total of 247 cancer patients confirmed with biopsy reports were available for analysis out of which 140 patients are taking treatment since 1994 - 2007
  2. Out of these patients, 24 patients (in A group) desired to have only Ayurvedic treatment as the main treatment for their cancer. Remaining 221 patients (Group B, C and D) had previously undergone allopathic conventional cancer treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or combination of them with variable results.
  3. Total 47 patients had changed group. 41patients changed group from C to D,
4 patients changed group from C to B & 2 patients changed group from D to B.
  4. Out of these patients, 24 patients (in A group) desired to have only Ayurvedic treatment as the main treatment for their cancer. Remaining 221 patients (group B, C and D) had previously undergone allopathic conventional cancer treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or combination of them with variable results.
  5. Patients undergoing Ayurvedic treatment for carcinoma of Brain, Oral cavity, , Breast, Rectum, Leukemia ,Lymphoma and female genital organs have shown remarkable improvement in their general condition.
  6. Panchakarma is purificatory procedure. It helps to increase immunity , improve prognosis and avoid recurrence.. This year total 14 patients had undergone Panchakarma treatment. Vaman was administered in 03 patients, Basti was performed on 07 patients, Raktamokshan was done in 03 patients while Nasya was given in 01 patient. Remarkable improvement in quality of life was observed in more than 60 % of patients.
  7. Panchakarma procedures have been successfully performed over 100 patients till date. Out of which 50% of patients are still in good health.
  8. Total 26 patients in the project are advised to stop the treatment due to good response to Ayurvedic treatment and are only on regular follow up.
