The project is carried out at Pune, Mumbai and Solapur. |

Patients diagnosed of Cancer and confirmed by reports of biopsy, cytology and other tests are included in the project. |

The patients, who can be benefited by Panchakarma treatment, are admitted in our hospital at Wagholi, Pune. |

 |
Detailed case history is documented from Ayurvedic as well as allopathic point of view in separate case record forms. |

The patients are divided into four groups before starting this treatment. |

Group A : Fresh, untreated, confirmed Cancer patients. |
|

2. |
Group B : Allopathic failures – progressive Cancer. |
| |
3. |
Group C : Complimentary with other Allopathic treatment. |
| |
4. |
Group D : Supportive; Cancer previously controlled by other methods of Allopathy. |

 |
Authentic Ayurvedic medicines are used for Cancer patients, which are prepared in trust's own pharmacy, ‘Atharva Ayurved Pharmaceuticals’. |

Evaluation of patients from allopathic point of view is done periodically by Dr. Arvind Kulkarni at Mumbai and Pune centers and
Dr. Shirish Kumthekar at Solapur center. |

Possible benefits, risks and other options of treatment of Cancer are explained to the patient and relatives. Each patient has to sign a consent form at the time of registration. |

Regular follow up and evaluation of Ayurvedic treatment is carried out by Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh. |

Ayurvedic treatment is started by Prof. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh, well known Ayurvedic physician. |

Computerised documentation of each patient is maintained which is used for research purposes. |
